  2. Loading times for me are fine.. Loading a save takes like 3 sec, loading a new level around 20 seg.. and i have it in a HDD NOT on a SSD.

  3. Re: 2 minutes loading “made tea, drunk tea, went to pee“ – see, it's a feature – providing time stay hydrated, as well as time for bathroom break, rest your eyes or stretch legs*

*I know, I know it's VR you you're technically moving your whole body but still eye strain prevention stays

  4. Spoiler alert

I think this is like doom 2016 a awesome game but didn t give it the best
Then it evolve into enternal i think after i saw the end when you are gordon with his crow bar in the hand ready to kick gman ass
I think half life 3 is arround the corner litterally im not gonna be suprized if in the next 2 years is already released

  5. I'm curious as to what specs you are running? Apart from day one crashes, I had absolutely no stuttering or slow loading times. My PC isn't exactly the newest thing either. 1080ti and 7700k.

  6. Yep, a game 'no one asked for or expected', and 99% don't give a shit about.
THIS is what they've been working on all this time?
Meanwhile, still no L4D3. Listen to the public – the customer is always right, fucknuts! 🤬

  7. Aight real talk, my pc is below minimum specs and the load times are not that long, loading up the game is a minute and a half tops and loading a level is maybe a minute. You want a game with long load times? Boneworks is a fantastic game but my god it takes actually 4 minutes. I don’t know what you are using on your pc but install HLA on a SSD and it’s fine.

  8. In retrospect I imagine it might have cost a similar amount to play Half Life 2 in 2004 with decent graphics and frame rate when you adjust for inflation.

  9. Perhaps Half-Life: Alyx is a sort of test for what Valve may be using for Half-Life 3, so if Alyx bombed (which it clearly hasn't) they could go back to the drawing board and not fuck up the true dish

Its like MGSV: Ground Zeroes to the Phantom Pain only not overpriced

  10. Sad to see this rather than a real sequel. It would be nice to at least experience the story but VR is not compelling enough to invest in. Also, floaty hands are not exactly immersive which is surely the point of VR.

  11. Hey, someone that finally explains what the hell VPN even means. Google never even tells me. Thanks mate.

  12. I couldn't agree more on the combat encounters being a little too far apart. I hope they patch in a harder difficulty or something down the line that makes the AI tougher. Other than that I'm having a blast. Boneworks definitely lets you do more and throws a lot more at you, but the insane level of detail in the graphics and story with Alyx make the tradeoff worth it.

  13. Loading Time problems? weird, i don't wait more than 30seg o 40seg in the worst cases. Maybe when record the gameplay in the same hdd or sdd, slowdown the loading time

  14. Making this non-VR is possible. There was a VR game released a year or so ago and now it is getting rereleased as a non-VR FPS game.

A PSVR release would be nice too.

  15. Stop whining about load times when you obviously aren't using an SSD, why would anyone listen to your drivel if you cant even comprehend the advantages of technology that has been around for a decade now. Get outta here.

  16. What PC do you have because I had none of the issues you were talking about. I have Ryzen 7 3700 cpu and RTX 2060S and never seen a stutter and loadings take 15s at most. Also the thing about controls not being something game breaking, compared to Boneworks everything is muc hmore convenient and polished.
Also I don't feel like you can have the combat to puzzles ratio the other way around because it's just so exhausting in VR. I've played through entire Doom Eternal during weekend almost twice but playing HL:A for few hours I was so tired I had to take a brake even without constant action going on.

  17. VR is for kids in high school. When working people get home from their hard job, the last thing they want to do is strap on a headset and move around. Even a mouse and keyboard is too much sometimes.
